2. Design for X (DFX) & Dimensional Engineering
We have extensive experience in developing and monitoring dimensional strategies, tolerance schemes and supporting quality plans for our client's products. We have led projects with OEMs such as: Ford Motor Company, Roush Fenway Racing, Disney, Universal Studios, Caterpillar, Proterra, Navistar, and Zipline International.
The Carbonex engineering team can plan and develop GD&T layouts, tolerance stack-ups and quality plans that integrate balanced designs and manufacturing processes while meeting engineering dimensional goals. We ensure a system's manufacturability and implement measurable quality objectives for individual components.

We will lead your dimensional engineering projects from start to completion.
Capabilities:
> Identify and develop quality objective targets on key product sections and monitor quality goals within the dimensional objective documents.
> Perform tolerance analysis (2D stack-up studies) on new and existing designs and processes.
> Maintain dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to component and assembly drawings.
> Support the development of part and assembly datums, tolerances, and measurement plans.
> Research and analyze data such as VSA studies, specifications, and component tooling tolerances to determine the feasibility of design or application.
> Perform variation reduction and dimensional sensitivity studies.
- Perform comparison studies of measured data versus objectives and GD&T specifications.
> Provide input, training, and mentoring to engineering teams and manufacturing regarding dimensional management-related topics.
>Apply design for assembly (DFA), design for manufacturing (DFM), and geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) to components and systems and identify potential concerns.
> Support product design and engineering teams by providing input on problem resolution of new and existing product designs and creating design summaries and/or tech review documents.
